About Farmington, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Farmington is located in Missouri’s Lead Belt region approximately 70 miles southwest of St. Louis. Found in St. Francois County, the city is home to about 16,300 people and also serves as the county seat. Originally established as Murphy’s Settlement in 1822, Farmington is home to several major employers, including Multi-Aero, SRG Global, U.S. Tool, Centene Corp, and the Farmington Correctional Center. The local school system supports six elementary schools, a middle school, and Farmington Senior High School.

There are several interesting sites to see and places to visit in Farmington. The Farmington Water Park & The River’s Edge Splash Pad are popular destinations on a hot summer day, and Crown Pointe Golf Club is another major stop. There are 17 parks within the community, and they offer disc golfing, playgrounds, soccer and ball fields, tennis courts, and picnic areas. Wine is popular in the region at Twin Oaks Vineyard and Winery and Sand Creek Vineyard and Winery, and afterward, many visitors enjoy stopping for a sweet treat at Sweetheart Chocolates.

Weather conditions in Farmington vary with the seasons. During the winter, temperatures are cold, and average highs reach only into the low-40s. The region sees about a foot of total snowfall each year, but freezing rain is also a possibility, so the right heat pump or furnace at home will dramatically improve comfort levels.  Annual furnace maintenance is also a necessity to prevent the need for future repairs, and it can help homeowners to save on their heating bills.

Summertime weather in Farmington is hot and humid. Daytime highs often reach into the 90s, and temperatures of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher are not out of the question. Central air conditioning or the cooling function of a heat pump is especially important in homes with children or elderly residents to prevent heat-related illnesses.
